About Us

At The Clinic of Fine Ops, we believe that operational excellence and financial clarity are essential tools for building lasting, community-rooted businesses. Founded by Antoine Hicks, an Oakland native with deep ties to Black entrepreneurship, our firm was born from a commitment to close the wealth gap by empowering Black-owned firms with the resources, strategies, and support they need to thrive.
Antoine brings over a decade of experience in operations, finance, and entrepreneurship, including co-founding Red Bay Coffee and serving as its Director of Operations & Finance. His expertise spans startups, non-profits, and small businesses, especially those that are mission-driven and community-focused.
The Clinic of Fine Ops provides holistic financial and operational consulting through services such as accounting, bookkeeping, tax preparation, and business strategy. But more than that, we serve as your dedicated “number two”: a trusted partner committed to your growth. Through education, systems-building, and strategic guidance, we empower clients to make informed decisions that support their long-term vision.

The Vision
We envision a future where Black-owned businesses have equal access to the tools, capital, and infrastructure needed to build wealth and power. By working to close the racial wealth gap, we help dismantle systems built on inequality and create space for real equity, where every community has the opportunity to succeed on its own terms.
The Mission
Our mission is to empower Black entrepreneurs through financial systems, strategic guidance, and operational support. We provide hands-on consulting and education that help business owners retain more earnings, access the resources they need, and lead with clarity. We are driven by a commitment to service, community, and entrepreneurship as forces for meaningful change.

"For my people standing staring trying to fashion a better way
from confusion, from hypocrisy and misunderstanding,
trying to fashion a world that will hold all the people,
all the faces, all the adams and eves and their countless
generations;"
